This one day introduction to the safe and accurate use of a Glock pistol was of real practical use in my international work, for personal safety and for awareness raising with participants in my own English for Special Purposes courses. If my next step is to the USA then Mark's excellent course has been essential cultural preparation.

An extremely enjoyable and informative day. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn more about shooting. STS have a very professional setup and I am extremely impressed with the instructor’s knowledge and experience. There is a strong focus on safety procedures and understanding the elements of a firearm, providing a level of confidence before handling a loaded gun. Target practice was fun and the focus on core principles allowed me to improve my accuracy and enjoy my time on the range. A fun day and I really want to go back again.

This was my second course with Mark, he once again provided quality and effective training. He suited the course to my needs which was to get familiar with the SA 80. Nobby is an extremely professional and experienced instructor whose colorful and multifaceted career provides a rich seam of knowledge and wisdom that I barely tapped into over the two day course. Nobby clearly outlined the safe use and care of the AK47 and M16. As someone who is often surrounded by these weapons this course has given me far more understanding about the risks associated with improper use of the weapons and how to identify them.

Mark is a dedicated instructor who imparted a wealth of weapon safety knowledge in a clear and practical way, going above and beyond to make sure we understood what we needed to do to be safe around weapons in our line of work. It was a great pleasure to learn from his experience.

By far the most in-depth and professional training course I have been on. The course was delivered to cover all the areas I requested and it did this and so much more. I would recommend any of the training courses as the teaching and material are unmatched. Will be looking to attend another course as soon as possible.

This was my second two-day course designed and run by Mark Knowles. He's a fine teacher, placing emphasis on safety at each stage and providing explanations which built my confidence to make good decisions on the range. A highly professional trainer; recommended.

I was searching for some extra coaching to help me pass a military weapons test and found this company. I’m glad I did. Despite being fully booked for months ahead, Mark found a way to help me out with a day of one to one instruction. The admin was spot on from start to finish and he designed a course totally focused on my needs. The morning improved my knowledge of the weapon, marksmanship principles and reinforced the importance of safe handling. The afternoon was spent on the range, drilling in the key skills needed to shoot accurately and consistently with high quality feedback and instruction. By the end of the day, my shooting had improved massively and now I look forward to my test. Recommended.

My bespoke one day course brought me the basic knowledge I was seeking on gun handling. It was conducted to the highest standard of professionalism with safety as a paramount feature. It was quite intensive course but very rewarding in terms of knowledge acquired and confidence-building. I enjoyed every minute of it.

My sixth course with Mark. As always, the instruction was clear, concise, and effective with safety-first founding principle. The course started with a fresher on pistol and primary weapon systems which highlighted weaknesses, training was then tailored to address these points before moving on. Mark’s flexible approach meant that the course was fine-tuned to my needs, finding and fixing issues whilst highlighting competitive shooting and real-life contextual tactics. I had a great day with Mark, it was fascinating to hear about his life and career. I have limited experience with weapons but felt I learnt a lot over the day. It is clear from his many achievements that Mark keeps very high standards, his tuition was excellent and being somewhat nervous around guns at the start I very much appreciated very strong focus on safety and ensuring that people understand the weapons before beginning shooting drills. At best, I would consider myself an "enthusiastic plinker" with all the bad habits that being self taught brings. Curious enough to take stuff apart but lacking the confidence or ability to put it back together again in a working fashion This was to change MK had me successfully stripping and re-assembling stuff using a time honoured method of explain, watch, copy, repeat, which might not sound fun, but it is deeply satisfying to successfully complete This is how the rest of the day progressed - encouragement, observation and coaching throughout In this one day course MK was able to identify and set me straight on problems with my shooting, some that I think I suspected I did but didn't know how to correct and some that I wasn't even aware I was doing - one thing that neither of us could fix though was my glasses steaming up (note to self: take anti-mist wipes the next time) All in all a thoroughly enjoyable day, professionally run with excellent equipment and facilities - and some entertaining and amusing anecdotes thrown in for good measure
