I spoke to Nobby about the nature of my job and my requrements to gain training with multiple firearms systems for use on land and for maritime use (this was a one-to-one training course). Nobby tailored the course to my exact requirements. He clearly put the work in, and even updated the sylabus each evening to match the pace of my learining. The result was an incredibly well put together and massively beneficial 4 days of intense training. I walked away with both my Maritime Firearms Comptetency Course and my Land Based Firearms Competency Course. It was of importance to me that my training was undertaken by a reputable training provider. Shooting Training Solutions is accredited by the ISO 9001 and the UKAS certification bodies. These are recognised worldwide, and indicate a continued technical competence and integrity of the services on offer. Most companies offering silmilar services do not have these acreditiations. This was a key factor in choosing Shooting Training Solutions for my course. I work in a professional role and all my licences must be the "real deal". If you read Nobby's professional history you will be in no doubt as to his competence to teach in this sector. I would find it hard to find anyone else with such a high level of knowledge and exerience in the security, firearms and military sector. To top this off, he is a very friendly and approachable person who made me feel at ease whilst training in the classroom. The live firing training was undertaken in a professional and safe manner. Nobby does not let you get away with sloppy and unsafe behavior when in the range, and he constanly assesses your ability so that when (or if) you are awarded the certificates, you know that you have reached a suitable level and have proven yourself to be competent. I would not hesitate to recomend Shooting Training Solutions, and I will be back within a year to top up my trainiing, and possibly I will be back sooner to do some more one-to-one training to improve my skills further. A five star course throughout.

This is a fantastic course with STS for anyone looking to do a Maritime Firearms Course, I have just done my refresher course to keep my docs upto date and once again Mark proved why he is the best in his field with great instruction and knowledge. I highly recommend this course to anyone on here looking to book a firearms course and I will be booking again next year.

The course is taught at a good pace and is relevant to martime Industry. A few changes from last year all of which are improvements i.eNew targetry. Noticeable improvement on My weapon handling and application of marksmanship principles . All-round good Course .

This one day course is very benifical with a very high level of tutoring throughout, at a steady pace with suficant breaks thought the day. Highly recommended for the looking to refresh there skills and drills.

My second time with STS now as per company practice and I'm just as impressed, if not more so with the quality of instruction, facilities and depth of up-to-date industry knowledge from Nobby. He deserves to be the industry leader in this field and all TL's should be able to breathe a little easier when they hear their operators have been through the STS courses.

Overall an excellent course which covers a huge amount in just two days. The training is intense but the drills are taught in a progressive way. The knowledge and experience of the instructor is immense and the lessons are taught in a simple, easy to understand manner.

I have just completed the firearms course, Mark (Nobby) is an absolute expert. The knowledge he has on each weapon system is phenomenal. I learned a lot from his tutorage, through Mark's knowledge and skill set, he will surely get the best out of you in one day as he did with me. Highly recommend this course to anyone!!

This is the second time that I have attended Marks course at the STS shooting school of Excellence, There are plenty of Firearms course providers (I have personally attended 3 other courses with different providers) but non of them come close to either the standard of value for money that Nobby provides. It isnt just a Job for Nobby its his passion and it shows, from the moment you arrive and are welcomed with unlimited refreshments until the moment you leave you are given his full and complete attention. Every individual that arrives on the course is made to feel welcome from the moment you enter the building until lthe moment you leave and Marks enthusiasm is infectious and every body is made to feel welcome and at ease with all the drills and weapon systems at each individuals own pace, Never rushed and no detail is left undone. This is the Benchmark that other companies should strive to achieve. BZ on another well run course.

Great course, Great instructional techniqiue, plesant enjoyable day

The quality of instruction was excellent and the course was conducted in a very professional way. The first day was spent in the classroom doing dry drills and weapons disassembly and assembly. The range phase was challenging and was done in a progressive manner, starting with static firing and then moving on to more advanced drills. A wide variety of weapons systems were covered in the two days and would definitely recommend this course.

A specific and highly bespoke course was desgined for me to address those things a writer needs to know about firearms. It really helps - as a writer - to know and understand what it takes to achieve firearms excellence - and to understand the complexities of dismantling, reassembling, cleaning, loading and unloading a weapon. In terms of addressing these requirements the course was perfect. The expertise and knowledge of the trainer was invaluable - and the teaching style - and teaching skills - were first rate. Customer service was excellent - the supply of tea and coffee generous - as was the lunch. All in all - VERY highly reccomended.

Excellent course, delivered from a very knowledgable and experienced instructor. Only two on the course so almost one on one tuition. Weapon handling and classroom work in the morning, life firing in the afternoon. A great qualification gained to make you more employable.
