This is the second year now that I have completed this course, but on this occasion( Mark Knowles ) better known as Nobby adjusted his date of courses to suit me as time was limited and I was travelling from Spain. Nobby runs a very professional course, his knowledge and skill that he has acquired through the years and demonstrates this very well. The one day refresher course is well worth the money, to refresh and keep the standards high in the industry as you all know there is a big problem with lesser trained countries. Upon first meeting he was friendly and down to earth, he made me feel very welcome and relaxed. His knowledge and experience is outstanding and the way he presents the training is fantastic, he makes you feel comfortable and is thorough in getting the information across at your own speed. I had to go through various stages of the training a couple of times, Nobby talked me through these stages at all times until I was able to carry them out by myself. Never once did I feel like I was under pressure whilst he was training me. To sum up... Having trained in Poland I thought I knew how to handle a firearm. The disappointment in Mark's face as to how I was taught was priceless. This course teaches you the art and the science, without this course a stoppage on the battlefield could be life threatening. I highly recommend to anyone wishing to further their weapons knowledge be it for pleasure or CP purposes. 5 stars all the way!!

A professional instructor with knowledge throughout the Security/Maritime industry with a wealth of Military and operational experience. Mark has created a great course environment with only a small group, this really feels like one to one tuition. The weapon drills and the sequence taught soon makes sense and you will notice even in a short period of time that everything carried out becomes slick and second nature. Having never experienced anything like this before I was given the opportunity to take part in this course and I can honestly say I'm very glad I did, my initial nerves and reservations were soon expelled knowing I was in the hands of a highly experienced and knowledgeable tutor. Wanting to come away from the day with a slight insight into what forces personnel deal with on a daily basis, I had a glimpse of exactly that, it really was a brilliant day even down the the refreshments on offer. I can't thank Mark enough for the experience and will 100% be back again.

Mark is proving to be our preferred choice for all things firearms. Many are already aware of his quality & his background, but coupled with his professionalism is a very decent nature indeed. Mark will put you at ease, take an interest in your needs, & deliver a programme that caters for it soundly. It is pleasantly intense at times as there is much to learn, but there is no room for error where firearms are concerned. STS are excellent, the standards really are second to none. I really needed a few days away for myself. I had been to the day experience and thoroughly enjoyed it and thought, hell with it, lets try the European Experience so I gave Mark a call and he arranged all the rest. Every element of the course was carefully planned and organised by Mark which included Flights, Airport pick up, drop off, Accommodation, Excellent Food and One-2-One Training. Mark was the perfect host and made every effort to make you feel like a real V.I.P. The training was held in the south of France in a well equipped range run by a very friendly couple .They made every effort to make you feel welcome and accommodate to ones needs. The training was second to none ; Marks experience in teaching is quickly and clearly evident .The structured and methodical principles created a safe environment while developing my confidence and knowledge of the weapon systems. The accommodation was fantastic , clean, spacious and quite. Everything was catered for even my eating requirements. This trip was paradoxical, relaxing, calming, exhilarating, edge of your seat stuff but most of all enjoyable. Mark is a very friendly, down to earth guy and I thoroughly enjoyed his company .He is patient with his teaching and modest about his experience. I can not recommend this trip enough ,if you are looking for something special then this is it . Counting down the days till my next trip.

The two days of training with Nobby Knowles although it was quite intense, was very enjoyable. Nobbys experience and method of training was second to none. The emphasis was on safety and competency. Nobby was precise, clear in his instruction and helped me to improve my performance on the range. The course culminated in an intense session on the range. I felt safe at all times under Nobbys supervision and using the weapon systems under hostile conditions definitely took me out of my comfort zone. I am very pleased with the two days and would highly recommend STS Ltd to anyone wishing to have either an introduction to firearms or a more in depth experience. I am 16 and took this course to expand my knowledge on firearms and to avoid the start of any bad habits which it definitely helped with. The course taught me safe handling of firearms and I also had a great time. My instructor, Mark Knowles made this very enjoyable and the way we were taught showed me how to look forward and ahead in my movements and how to catch any mistakes before I actually make them with a firearm

Safe, safe and safe, thats how I felt and what I've learned with a lot of other things. This course is really great and I would 110% recommend to anyone looking to learn about firearms. I found the course to be thorough and perfectly pitched to my level of competency. Mark is able to instinctively know how much to test you in a constructive way so as to bring out the best in you whilst at the same time enabling you to recognise any deficiencies in your practice and correct them. Perseverence is always rewarded. You really wont get any better or well informed teaching than this. Mark draws upon personal experience in a variety of adverse situations to reinforce the value of his practice. As well as being an amazing instructor his organisational and culinary skills are superb. Accomodation in a quiet local village was absolutely perfect. I'm definitely coming back for more.
